About TheCollective Community
Founded by Stuart Gibson, a surf photographer from Tasmania, Australia in 2009. Stuart is a well-known surf photographer who has had work published in magazines and galleries the world over.

TheCollective is an online community of local Tasmanian surf photographers who live and breath surfing in Tassie, Anyone that takes surfing seriously in Tasmania knows that to really chase good waves you have to dedicate your life to it! We also aim to shoot local surf sessions and make these images available to the public,  Too often the work of many photographers is left on the cutting room floor, with the magazines handpicking only a small selection of images from what is often an amazing collection. TheCollective’s goal is to bring these unpublished images back for your enjoyment.

TheCollective will feature a select group of contributing photographers that will bring their own style to the table and blow a breath of fresh air on the ever changing industry. The aim is to publish fresh content and news from the Local Tasmanian surf community,  So please bookmark TheCollective and check back daily for your dose of inspiration.

Becoming a Contributor
TheCollective is a fantastic place to showcase your unseen images, or to launch yourself into the world of surf photography. Whilst we are always looking for new imagery and fresh talent, we cannot accept images from everyone in the interests of maintaining a high calibre of imagery.
