Boxing Day Stern

Boxing Day madness at Shipstern Bluff. Wave heights in the 10-12 foot mark were on tap mid morning. The sea breeze held off and only lone surfer Spud was there. A group of young boogers rocked up to keep him company in the line up. Where were the skis? The big wave maniacs? Who knows, is it the party season?
Kids were getting swept off the ledge, sea gulls trying to attack breaking waves and the spectators were getting wet. One solo kid went to swim off the back ledge and got cleaned up, he surfaced with blood pissing from his hands, after a quick 5 minute recovery he jumped off the rocks and tried valiantly to body surf some with a hand oozing blood I’m not too sure how confident he was feeling about the big men below the surf getting a fresh scent!!
